HIGH-TECH
SHOULD BE HIGH-PRIORITY

Michael J. Wolfe, president of Manhattan-based
Midboro Management Inc., insists that high-tech infrastructures
should be in place at all multifamily projects. "Most buildings
already have cable access and DSL lines will soon follow. In other
words, access to high-speed wiring is about to become as commonplace
as access to cable television," he says. "At this juncture,
high-tech wiring should no longer be considered an amenity. It is
simply an inherent part of the package for any well-run building."
The amenities that add the most value are convenience-oriented --
doormen, concierges, storage facilities and on-site parking. Following
quality-of-life conveniences are special interest amenities, such
as fitness rooms and play rooms," Wolfe says. |
